Anna Marie O’Connor was born October 4, 1954 in Wells Michigan to Mr. & Mrs. John H. Wescott and passed away October 15, 2021 in Bakersfield, Ca

Anna was one of five children. Anna’s oldest sibling was her sister Dorothy (Dotty), Brother John (Johnny), Sister Sandra (Sandy) and her younger sister Florence (Flo). Anna was born at home with the assistance of a midwife. While living in Michigan the family moved to California when Anna was young. Anna Attended Oak View Elementary, DeAnza Jr. High & Ventura High School.


On May 29, 1974 Anna Married Michael Ray O’Connor in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they had two Daughters. Diana Marie & Melissa Ann. Anna & Michael made their home in Ventura, Ca. Eventually Anna & Michael Moved to Maricopa, Ca to be closer to Anna’s parents. Anna and Michael moved to Bakersfield, Ca for Michael’s work. Anna got her first granddaughter Rebecca on February 16, 1994. On November 13, 1997 Anna’s second granddaughter Sophia was born. Anna’s first and only grandson Donté was born on July 4, 2003. Anna loved all her grandchildren. They each were special to her in their own way. On August 18, 2018 Anna got the blessing of her first Great-Grandchild Mia. Mia was her “Peanut”. Anna made sure to spend one on one time with each of her grandchildren. Even if it was just chatting for a little while.

For employment Anna worked worked in convalescent homes, In home health services & as a telemarketer. Anna worked at a convalescent home on Mount Vernon Avenue, Zaloom Brother’s Pistachio Plant in Lost Hills, Ca. as a sorter, Alliance for family violence as a receptionist & Boost Mobile as a Telemarketer. Anna & Michael Divorced when the children were in elementary school. Anna continued to raise her daughters as a single mother. Anna was a loving mother to her children. Anna enjoyed taking her kids to the beach in Ventura, camping & Hart Park for a BBQ. Anna also enjoyed doing yard work & did her best to make a nice home for her children.


With Anna’s previous employment with a convalescent home. This came in handy when care was needed for her parents. Anna became the caregiver for her father to ease the emotional & physical strain on her mother. When her mother began having health issues Anna moved in with her parents & provided 24 hr care for her parents. Annas Mother passed on July 12, 1996. This left her caring for her for her father only. Annas father passed away April 1, 1999. After the passing of her parents Anna got a place of her own in Lamont, Ca. While living in Lamont, Ca Anna was employed as a telemarketer as well as caring for others through In Home Health Services (IHHS). While doing in home health Anna Injured her back. Anna went back to working as a telemarketer. In 2003 Anna stopped working to babysit for her grandchildren. In 2008 Anna completely stopped working due to her previous back injury.


Anna is Preceded in death by her Parents John & Dorothy Wescott, Brother Johnny & Sister Dotty. Anna is survived By her Daughters Diana Diaz & Melissa Ceasar (Chris), Grand Daughters Rebecca Diaz, Sophia Diaz & Grandson Donté Diaz and Her Great-Granddaughter Mia Rose Diaz "Peanut".

Anna is also survived by her sister Sandy Wilson (Jim Wise), Flo White (Alan) as well as Many Nieces & Nephews
