ANTHONY JAMES BARRONJune 11, 1956 - January 29, 2026Anthony James Barron, 69, passed away on January 29, 2026, in Bakersfield, California. He was born on June 11, 1956, in Bakersfield.. 

Anthony graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1974 and went to work with his father at a tire shop shortly after high school. He later spent 29 years as a mechanic at Pep Boys, where he became known as one of the best mechanics  before retiring. He loved working on cars even on his days off to help someone out. 

Anthony was married to Ellen Barron for 27 years and together since 1988. He was a devoted father to Christopher Barron, step-father to Jason Mesa and proud grandfather to Emma Louise Barron. Anthony was known for being kind, easygoing and always willing to lend a helping hand.

 Anthony shared a close friendship with Fred Torres and his wife Reveca enjoying many vacations and cruises together over the years. Anthony was a proud member of the Tejon Indian Tribe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Betty Barron. He is also survived by his brothers Rudy Barron; Kenneth Barron; Michael Barron and his wife Sylvia; Joseph Barron and George Barron. His sisters Antoinette Grijalva; Helen and her husband Mark Sauceda. Along with many nieces and nephews and family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral Services will be held on February 16, 2026 at 10 am at Greenlawn Cemetery, 3700 River Blvd Bakersfield, CA. A Grave Site Service.

A Celebration of Life reception will follow at the Eagles Club on 1718 17th St.Revelation 21:4 - And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Can't wait to see Anthony again.
