Beloved husband of Sue Wilson for 60 years. Father of Shyann Andino and James Shanon Wilson and wife Liz.
Grandfather of Amanda Wilson, Jeneva Ellis and Trevor Jared, Daniel Andino, Amber Corbell and husband Brandon, Jeffrey Wilson and wife Lena, Randy Benson and wife Sheree.
Great Grandfather to Giana Critchfield, Topanga and Savanna Corbell, Ezekiel and Makenna Wilson, Benjamin and Joanna Benson, Jude and Josiah Andrews, and Madison Jared.
Survived by Brother Gerald Wilson and sister Patricia Spears, Sister In Law Peggy Sharp, Niece Evalee and Nephew Richie Kirkland.
James served in the US Navy on the USS Hornet for numerous tours in the South Pacific as an aviation Mechanic and received 2 medals for good conduct. Honorably discharged November 11, 1962. He was an Operating Engineer belonging to the Union Local 12, District 3 since 1964. He worked for numerous companies as a truck crane oiler and crane operator. He enjoyed working with his hands on anything and everything, was an avid Christmas enthusiast and took us all camping as much as he could. He was a loving and ornery man that touched so many lives and left his mark upon this world for all that knew him. He lives on in each of us.
Proceeded in death by his father and mother Leon and Elpha Wilson, brothers Herald and Lee Wilson, sisters Wanda Bishop and Bernice Morgan, grand daughter Megan Andrews.
Our king of mischief will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
Services will be held October 4th, 5 pm at Dove Creek Bible Church 2244 Allen Rd, Bakersfield Ca 93314 Graveside services will be held at the National Cemetery October 5th at 1pm, 30338 E Bear Mountain Blvd Arvin CA 93203.
