Joann Elizabeth Martinez, a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at the age of 50. Born on June 20, 1976, in Weslaco, Texas. Joann was a beacon of warmth and kindness, whose gentle spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Joann was the cherished daughter of Guadalupe and Jose Martinez, Mother to Jazmin, Alexis and Donnie Jr. Sister to Cynthia, Ross Sr, Rose, Lupe, Veronica, Joe and Lilian who were her guiding stars throughout her life. From an early age, Joann exhibited a vibrant enthusiasm for life and a profound compassion for those around her. Her childhood in Weslaco,Texas was filled with laughter and adventure, setting the foundation for a life dedicated to caring for others. A beloved mother and grandmother, Joann's family was always her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. She loved all her family her children and grandchildren, nieces, and nephews with unconditional love. Her legacy lives on in her five adoring grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness. Joann's warmth extended beyond her family, as she was a true friend to many. Whether it was through her thoughtful words, her infectious smile, and laughter , Joann made those around her feel valued and loved Joann's presence was a gift, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
