Lola was born August 12, 1953 in San Luis Obispo, California and passed away August 26, 2026 in Bakersfield, California. She was born to Robert Freeman and Jessie Freeman (nee Corron). Her parents met in Florida and later moved to California for work. Her mom was pregnant with her as they traveled to their new home and by accident, she was born 2 months early as they traveled through San Luis Obispo, CA. Fitting, as she absolutely loved the beach and especially loved living in Big Sur, as her dad was a Ranger and was stationed there. She got to live all over California before they finally settled in Ventura, California, where she later met her beloved husband Florencio and they married.

She was surrounded by her husband, daughter and her precious grandchildren as she left this earth. She was spunky, loving and never missed the chance to laugh and enjoy life. She was a fierce protector of her family and a proud dog mom to Bella, her beloved chihuahua.

She was a smart cookie, went to school to become an MA while also being a new wife and momma. She later got the opportunity to learn transcription, which she also tackled without fear and became one of the best transcriptions in her office. Originally from the Ventura/Oxnard area, her and her husband Florencio moved to Bakersfield in 1989 to be able to live in a safer neighborhood as Sarah, her only child and daughter, was starting high school. She loved to go bowling, joined a bunco group with her coworkers and later became a Nana to her grandchildren Lorynne and Jared, who were everything to her. She loved to go on spontaneous road trips and go out for breakfast on weekend mornings. She loved her husband Florencio, who she called the "love of her life" and they spent 53 years together. Not one moment will go by, where we won't miss all the happy moments with our beloved wife, mom, Nana, aunt, cousin, best spaghetti maker and friend.

Dementia took a lot from her, but never took away her amazing smile that we'll all miss so much. In lieu of flowers, if you'd like to donate, we ask that you please consider the Alzheimer's Association .
