Pamela Jean Craig, 73, of Bakersfield, California passed away on February 4th, 2023, with her children at her side. Pam was born the youngest of four in Washington in May of 1949 the daughter of Melvin Davis Craig of Oklahoma and Lena Faye Adair-Craig of Texas. Pam was survived by her five children: Cassandra Keeter with spouse Dan Donati, James Keeter II, David Keeter with spouse Sara Keeter, Steven Sipe and Amberton Miller. She was also survived by her nine beloved grandchildren: Shawn, Kyle, Rebecca, Lieha, Dalton, Chloe, Neveah, Fayelynn, Gunnar and her four cherished great-grandchildren; Brantley, Cecelia, Kash, and Monroe. Pam was survived by her brother Leroy Craig and greeted into the afterlife with a warm embrace by her parents and sisters Bonnie Crumply, Sandra Hicks.
Pamela’s last residence was in her parents’ home where she lived most of her life except for the 10 years of her childhood she spent in Bahia, Salvador Brazil, and the 25+ years as an adult raising her family in various locations of California and Tennessee. Pam attended school and received her bachelor’s degree from Bakersfield College with ambitions of a master’s degree from Cal State University of Bakersfield. Pam was passionate about her love for rescue animals owning many in her lifetime such as birds, turtles, dogs, monkeys, raccoons, rabbits, cats, and fish. Pam enjoyed family trips, Vegas slot machines, Chinese King buffets, Forge of Empire, throwing pottery, Pepsi, horror movie marathons, Kenny Rogers, Halloween costumes, thin mint GS cookies, Backgammon, Boggle, Scrabble tournaments with her sisters and spending time with her family laughing and rejoicing the special moments in life.
She will be greatly missed and always cherished by her family and friends.
