Salina Marie Martinez

d. March 5, 2023

On March 5, 2023 Heaven needed the beauty and kindness of our Lord’s daughter, Salina Marie Martinez.

Salina was born on May 28, 1988 in Bakersfield to Justo and Margarita Corona. She was the youngest of 3 children. Salina grew up in Bakersfield, California and attended Nichols Elementary , Chipman Jr. High and proudly graduated in 2006 from Highland High. Salina wore her high school sweater proudly and never stopped wearing it.

In 2005 Salina’s cousin Daniel introduced her to his friend Nicholas Martinez. It’s been told that when Salina was in high school, she would get so excited once the school bell rang, knowing that Nicky would often drive up from Los Angeles to pick her up after school. They dated and married in 2011 and the rest is history.

Soon after graduating high school Salina landed her first job at a small clothing boutique in downtown Bakersfield. It was there that she began networking with other artists in the makeup field, which sparked a fire in Salina’s eyes to become a makeup artist. After being employed at the clothing boutique for a year, Salina began looking for other employment and landed a job at Jamba Juice, which she loved, she worked hard and became an Assistant Manager.

In 2010 Salina was hired at MAC cosmetics. At MAC Salina blended her love for people with her artistic talents and became an amazing makeup artist. Salina worked at MAC for several years and became very proficient and even more passionate about her makeup career.

Salina with such confidence knew it was time to pursue her own business. So, what did Salina do? I’ll tell you what Salina did, she began posting makeup tutorials on social media and it was there that her talents were discovered by countless followers. Salina’s demeanor and natural beauty worked in her favor as her clientele grew.

In addition to pursuing her own business, Salina couldn’t wait to become a mommy and so she took time to start her own family.

On November 14, Sophia Nicole Martinez was born, now 9 yrs old. On October 30, Evelyn Marie Martinez was born, now 3 yrs old.

Salina will forever be loved and be greatly missed and live on in the hearts of her husband Nicholas, daughters Sofia and Evelyn, and her parents Justo and Margarita Corona. Her brothers Eddie and Jesse; Her uncles Antonio Corona and Luciano Corona, her aunts, Virginia Caballero, Caroline Ramirez, uncles Richard Ramirez, Joseph Ramirez, Angel Muro and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, sisters of the Heart, friends and acquaintances.

Salina will be greatly missed by her Mother-in "love" Liz Martinez, brother-In-law Adam Martinez and family, sister-In-law Lizzie Almendarez and family, also uncles, aunts and cousins that she added to her forever family tree once she married Nicholas.

Salina was a light in this world.

She will be remembered as a Warrior, and a woman who showed Love and Faith in God.

She was an example to all in the way she treated others. She showed others God's love as a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, family member and a friend.
