Sandra Salazar was born in Bakersfield, CA, to Antonia Luera and Abel Salazar, and grew up in the close-knit community of McFarland.
Sandra is survived by her loving father, Abel Salazar; devoted husband, Alex Rede; her son, Monte Gomez, and his wife, Maria Gomez; her son, Matthew Gomez; her daughters, Kristina Gomez and Krystal Queen, and Krystal's husband, Christopher Queen.
She was the proud grandmother of eight beautiful grandchildren who adored her.
Sandra leaves behind four brothers and four sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was affectionately known as "Tia Sandra" to many.
Known for her tough love and spirited personality, Sandra was tiny but mighty, always fighting fiercely for her loved ones. Her presence will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
