Tommy Wayne Lee Black was born June 9 1958 at Kern medical center the second oldest of 5 siblings to the proud parents Clifford and Josephine Black.

Tommy grew up in black burn camp not to be confused with hilltop. Growing up he loved to run the neighborhood ride bikes and have boxing matches where his siblings would sell beer and cigarettes for 25¢ when their mom and dad were out

Tommy attended Lamont elementary, Alicante Mt View Jr high and Arvin high. Tommy left high school before graduation to go to work in the potato sheds then on to work in the oilfields for Gary's drilling.

Tommy and his brother Johnny enjoyed working for Merle Haggard with parties and events he threw in Kern County in the 70's.

In the 1974 Tommy met his first wife and mother of his daughter Debbie Black and in 1980 Tommy married his second wife and mother of his son Rebecca Black.

The proudest moments of Tommy's life came on Nov 23 1975 and Feb 8 1981 when the love of his life his daughter Cheryl Black and the pride of his life his son Tommy Black Jr were born.

Tommy instilled many values in his children like respect your elders don't lie, don't cheat and don't steal. But Tommy cheated death multiple times before coming home to his son Tommy Jrs on hospice where he passed away surrounded by friends and family on July 28 2023 from heart failure.

Tommy is proceeded in death by his mom and dad Josephine and Clifford Black his brothers Johnny and Steven Black ex wife Debbie Black, brother in law and lifelong friends Tom Swanson and his girlfriend Joanie Fernandez.

Tommy is survived by his brother and sister Clifford and Tammy Black ex wife Rebecca Black, daughter and son Cheryl and Tommy Black and numerous in laws and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Tommy was a great man, son, brother, father Uncle grandfather and friend and will be cherished loved and missed by all who knew him.
